Cancellation & Refund Policy

How DSDC handles paid trials, missed classes, DSDC-initiated cancellations, and refund requests.

Paid Trial Sessions

Paid trial sessions are non-refundable. Enrollments that follow a paid trial session — for example, paying for a full term after completing a trial — are also non-refundable.

First-Term Refund Window (No Trial)

If you're brand new to DSDC and pay for a full term without doing a trial class first, you can request a refund within the first 7 days of enrolment — we'll refund what you paid minus any classes already attended. Outside that window (and outside the specific situations covered above), refunds aren't guaranteed; we review other requests case-by-case at the DSDC team's discretion.

Missed Classes & Make-Up Sessions

Missed classes are the responsibility of the student and parents, and make-up sessions are subject to class availability and capacity. Students can attend another class during the same semester for a missed session at the same tuition cost. Make-up sessions can be arranged through the portal or by emailing us at education@dsdc.ca.

If DSDC Cancels a Class

If DSDC cancels a class, DSDC will arrange a make-up session, issue credit toward the following semester, or — in applicable cases — issue a refund.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To request a cancellation or refund in one of the situations above, email education@dsdc.ca and include the student's name, the parent or guardian's name, and the class or program enrolled in.

Refund Processing

When a refund does apply, it is issued to the original payment method through Stripe and may take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on the financial institution involved.
