Yes. DSDC encourages every family to try a class or consultation before enrolling. We know that committing to a new extracurricular is a real decision, especially for kids who might be nervous about trying something new, so we make the first step low-risk.
Step 1: The Free 15-Minute Consultation
Every new family starts with a free 15-minute consultation. On the call, we talk through your child's grade, current confidence level, interests, and goals, and recommend the right DSDC class. It is a real conversation, not a sales pitch - if a DSDC class is not the right fit, we will tell you and often suggest alternatives.
Step 2: Trial Session (When Available)
For most levels, we can arrange a trial session so your child can sit in on a real class and experience the coaching style, group dynamics, and lesson flow before making a decision. This is the most accurate way to tell whether a particular class or coach is the right fit.
What to Expect on the Consultation Call
- A short conversation with a DSDC team member, usually via video or phone
- Questions about your child's grade, school experience, and any previous enrichment
- An overview of which DSDC classes could fit, with honest trade-offs
- Clear next steps - either a trial class, an enrollment recommendation, or a suggestion to wait
Why a Free Consultation First
Placing a student into the wrong class is worse than placing them into no class at all. The consultation exists to prevent that. We would rather spend 15 minutes getting it right than have a student join a class that is too hard, too easy, or the wrong format for their goals.
